Does anyone have any information about how to contact Barbara Wiend Class of 1948? Her sister is desperate to find her. Her sister is Frances A. Smith and can be reached at (302) 541-5167 or francismil@aol.com

Hi Bob, I clicked on a link to your site from the Delaware Genealogy Society Newsletter today. Looks like you know everything about Wilmington High School history. I am looking for a way to determine if my relative actuallly graduated from Wilmington High likely in 1915 or 1916. I wonder if you know of graduation list of students that exist ....guessing no yearbooks from that time.....I plan to look through newspapers for that info, but thought you might have some ideas ?? Wilmington Library and Delaware Archives have no records for the high school during this time. A call to the school and no help there either......anything would be helpful.....good luck with your site....thanks for your consideration, .Marylou
Thanx Patty, I appreciate that...also, I'll get back with you on the email about your yearbook pickup, 1953...thanx again!

Jenny,
I'm not sure what your saying.:/..can you show me a site where I wrote this and I'll be happy to take back what I ever said...thanx,

jenny says...Please correct your statement that the WHISP (Wilmington High School Paper) ceased to publish in 1960. That simply isn't true. As a WHISP staff person, who was asked to be editor, I worked on the paper through my graduation in 1975. With my decline Wanda Cahill was WHISP editor in 1975 and I can verify that through the yearbook and other methods.
Jim Kelley says...It would be great if Wilmington High School(Charter) would sell the personalized Paver Bricks to Alumni like Conrad has done(with name and class year). The paver bricks could be placed near the front entrance of the school and could support the Alumni Association or the school itself. Just a thought?

I just found this WHS Website on 2/15/2013. I will add the link to it from our WHS Class of 1979 website at www.whs79.com Thank you, Bob, for creating this website.
PS: I think I worked at the Dupont Hospital when you did, Bob - from 1985 to 1995.
Just thinking about how "Lucky" we are just to be reading this Web Site...most of my friends are looking "UP" instead of what we are doing, "looking "DOWN":-) Just turned 79 yesterday and just don't know where the time went...look in the Obit and don't see my name so I keep on going:-)
Not to many of us left as far as the "old school" mates go, (Delaware Ave)...the youngest class, 1960 have to be 69 or 70 yrs. old...so, if you can, let us know how your doing...not a big deal, you emai don't you, why not drop us a line...have fun, good health and keep in touch!
